SkyLift is used for a lot of projects, flyover patio covers. One of the other uses people are finding for Skylift is pergolas. You take a pergola beam and typically you might want the pergola beam to come out from the house rather than parallel with the house.
The pergola beam is going to run perpendicular. When you get your pergola beam, place it in the saddle and you can spin the saddle either way.
The Heavy Duty riser comes pre-drilled for this very reason. You can come out away from the house or parallel with the house. Your post will be set out away from the house for your shade pergola.

Doug Lethin literally grew up in the building industry. His father launched C&R Remodeling in 1961 in Salem, Oregon, and Doug was born right around the same time. Lethin took over the business in 1989 and invented the SKYLIFT roof riser hardware in 2010.
