We periodically receive questions from our potential customers which prompt either a new YouTube video on our channel (you should check it out!) or a blog post.
In this case, one of our customers in Virginia built a very nice looking outdoor pergola. The way he built the structure using the Sky Lift Roof Riser brackets was the only method he could install an outdoor ceiling fan on a pergola.
He thought about attaching it directly to the fascia of his house (please don’t) or attaching directly to the roof. These are common errors seen in the patio cover building community that take the fun out of it for everyone. As my mother would say, “this is why we can’t have nice things.”
The project below allows for plenty of room for walking around, BBQing and overall ventilation to the outdoor pergola.
Sky Lift Hardware roof riser brackets are the most simple, secure and sealed method of attaching a pergola to your house AND enjoying your ceiling fan during the hot summer months.
Doug Lethin literally grew up in the building industry. His father launched C&R Remodeling in 1961 in Salem, Oregon, and Doug was born right around the same time. Lethin took over the business in 1989 and invented the SKYLIFT roof riser hardware in 2010.
